We thought that, since we’re a social media company, Instagram pictures were the way to go. Here’s proof that we’re real people. Enjoy.

Inbound Marketing Director & Cleaner
Earlier in life James studied to be a minister, so we brought him in to help tell our story. James has lived in the south, the UK, the Windy City, and now Omaha. Spending time in these different communities has helped him develop a sense for needs in diverse audiences. James is also our cleaner; we don’t mean that in the janitorial sense (though he will proudly tell you that he took out the trash once), but in the “Pulp Fiction” sense. James helps us tie up all the loose ends..
Before joining SMC, James was a quality analyst for a national health insurance company, and worked ridiculously early hours for a parcel company. He has a BA in Philosophy & Religion.
John is fresh out of college, but prides himself on his editing skills and attention to detail, both of which he honed during his extensive undergraduate research work with John Milton's Paradise Lost. Though studying Milton doesn't exactly translate into real-world blog and social media strategy, John's commitment to putting out a polished project carried over into his work at SMC.
His editing position here is his first real job out of college, but John has been familiar with the value of hard work ever since his dad made him get his first job when he was 14 (cutting grass counts, right?). John shoots trap recreationally, plays guitar slightly less recreationally, and believes he speaks sarcasm better than anyone in the office. He has a BA in English, specializing in British Literature, from Creighton University.
Will Silvey Simons
Once an aspiring cartoonist, Will settled into the world of the written word after earning a BA in English in 2006, shortly thereafter spending several years on staff at an alt-weekly in Omaha, working his way up to the managing editor position. He went on to co-found Omahype.com, an online publication calendar currently serving up culture to the greater Omaha area and beyond.
As someone who’s been lucky enough to travel coast-to-coast as a working musician, he proudly admits he’s slept on more dirty floors in Texas than you have.
